Tumalo Garden Market was recognized by Today’s Garden Center magazine as one of the Top 100 Revolutionary Garden Centers in the U.S.

Founded in 2008, Tumalo Garden Market is a vibrant demonstration of sustainable living in Central Oregon. The 4-acre Garden features a wind-aerated irrigation pond, solar heated perennial displays, custom greenhouses, raised beds, wood fired pizza ovens and a bird pavilion with handmade birdhouses and feeders.
Tumalo Garden Market helps its customers by offering workshops in sustainable living – teaching people how the addition of a greenhouse can extend the growing season allowing them to eat more of their own produce. Classes include growing techniques, landscape design, greenhouse growing and the use of bee hives to increase pollination, produce honey and replenish the region’s depleted native bee population. Furthermore, Tumalo Garden market offers a wide range of native plants, trees, and shrubs all individually chosen to thrive in the Central Oregon climate.
“Tumalo Garden Market is more than a garden center, what we’re creating is a sustainable-living resource center,” said Ludeman. An advocate for locally grown produce, Tumalo Garden Market has opened up its 9,000 square feet of greenhouse space to offer customers a real farm to table experience.
